Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) supports offshore renewable energy which is compatible with natural heritage interests, as set out in its Policy on Renewable Energy (SNH, 2002). Scottish seascapes are renowned and valued for their natural heritage. This study was commissioned to contribute to strategic guidance on areas where the impact of offshore wind energy development on Scottish seascapes are likely to be of least significance.
