AB - The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has prepared this Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) to determine whether the issuance of leases within the Wilmington East Wind Energy Area (WEA) offshore North and South Carolina and associated site characterization and site assessment activities would lead to reasonably foreseeable significant impacts on the environment and, thus, whether an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) should be prepared before leases are issued.
