Recreation

The marine environment is commonly enjoyed by people for recreation purposes that include swimming, surfing, diving, wake boarding, and more. Meanwhile, windfarms may be located where people enjoy nature hikes, rock climbing, and more. Adding these devices may have a visual impact on the natural seascape or landscape. Noise can also be introduced into an environment, including audible noise from operation and visual noise as flickers and shadows. Certain areas may also be restricted to recreation activities for safety purposes. Significant wave extraction in the marine environment may potentially cause a reduction in wave height for surfers.
