About Me:

Hugo Costa has over 15 years of experience in Ecological Impact Assessment and Monitoring, having participated in projects Portugal, Mozambique, South Africa, Angola, Poland, Finland and Venezuela. He has been technical director and member of the board of directors of BiodinĂ¢mica, S.A. (Mozambique) since 2012. Hugo has conducted and/or coordinated over 500 biodiversity plans, surveys and assessments for projects such as wind farms, wave energy projects, dams, power lines, power stations, roads, railways, pipelines, mining, agriculture, industry, ports, among other infrastructure. He has also worked in several mitigation and offset programmes, economic valuation of biodiversity and ecosystem services and biodiversity action plans. Besides consultancy and technical advisory Hugo is author of several scientific and technical papers. He is currently the Executive Director of BiodinĂ¢mica in Mozambique.
